2012 NCAA FBS Week 7

The NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision production model has Florida State University at #1 for the sixth week in a row (I did not do the first week, given that so many teams did not play games the first week).  Thanks to the college football stats website.

  2. The model looks at relative performance. So, NIU realitive production to other teams is the third best in the nation. NIU had the #6 best offense in the nation and the #22 best defense. That combination of very productive offense and defense is rare, leading to their rather high ranking.

  3. Why did Northern Illinois fall out of the top 25 completely? How do their offense and defense rank now?
