How did Northern Illinois get #3?
ReplyDeleteThe model looks at relative performance. So, NIU realitive production to other teams is the third best in the nation. NIU had the #6 best offense in the nation and the #22 best defense. That combination of very productive offense and defense is rare, leading to their rather high ranking.
